In his message with regard to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary, Asif Ali Zardari said his party is adherent to Jinnah’s principles of governance, vowing to continue efforts to eradicate extremism from the country.

Reacting to the rejection of Sindh summary on Rangers special powers, he stated, “The federation violated the rule of constitution by invading Sindh”.

The former president urging the people to maintain unity warned that if the constitution was continued to be abrogated, then it will endanger the nation with instability.

On the other hand, the Sindh government today wrote a letter to the federal government noting that the centre by itself extending Rangers powers has invaded Sindh’s autonomy.

The step taken by the federation is a contradiction of the Article 147 and Sindh cannot comply with it, asserted the letter.

It further said the Sindh government will continue to fight terrorism, whether or not the federation helps, but this fight will go on.
