West Indies send Pakistan packing from U-19 Cricket World Cup

Pakistan, choosing to bat first, were struggling at 57/5 when wicket keeper batsman and Salman Fayyaz put up a 164-run partnership at the 6th wicket to help the side reach 227/6 in their 50 overs.

Umair Masood made 113 runs from 114 balls which included 15 fours and two sixes while Salman Fayyaz scored 58 runs from 79 balls with the help of three boundaries and a maximum.

Chemar Holder took two wickets for the West Indies side while Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Springer, Ryan John, Keemo Paul took a wicket each.

West Indies reached the target of 229 in 40 overs with Tevin Imlach top scoring with 54 runs from 76 balls while Shimron Hetmyer made 52 runs from 42 deliveries.

Shamar Springer contributed 37 runs with the bat as well.

Pakistan’s Sameen Gul, Ahmad Shafiq and Shadab Khan dismissed one batsman each.
