Russia saw the birth of a calf that had a body like that of a pig and two heads, according to a foreign news agency.
The report mentioned that The mutant animal was born to a cow in Khakassia’s village named Matkechik. The owner of the cow contacted the birth of the hybrid creature this month
However, the mother cow and its calf passed away within a span of a few days.
A statement was issued by the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Khakassia.
“Such a case did indeed take place in the village of Matkechik, Beysky District, at one of the private farmsteads.” the statement read. “According to the owner, the calf was stillborn and was the cow’s first offspring.”

They added: “The main reason for animals
being born with genetic abnormalities (mutations) is a change in the genome. The reasons for mutations in animals are caused by their external and internal environment. Mutations are inherited changes in the genome, arising as a result of certain mutagenic influences, as well as in artificial (experimental) conditions. The phenomenon is not rare at this moment with many mutant animals being born.
A two-headed calf was born in Pura Sikrauda village of Dholpur district in the Rajasthan state of India. The black-coloured animal has two mouths, four eyes and ears each along with two necks.
Chaundauli’s Chief Veterinary Officer, giving a biological explanation, said that the foetus grows in the womb before the cells divide into numerous parts. He added that the two heads form because of the growth of additional cells.
