MELBOURNE: A shocking video is going rounds that show a jockey brutally punching a horse in the stomach out of some rage and it was caught on camera.
The disgraceful and upsetting scene unfolded after Dylan Caboche’s ride reared up as they prepared to enter the stalls.
Roche’s filly She’s Reneldasgirl was then taken away to calm down in Port Lincoln, Australia.
But its frustrated 22-year-old apprentice rider dismounted and then amazed onlookers by striking the horse in its stomach.
The jockey and his horse carried on with the race and finished eighth out a field of ten.
They were beaten by more than 14 lengths. The jockey has been suspended for two weeks.
