Three UN observers visited the villages near the Working Boundary and inspected the losses suffered by the villagers in the Indian shelling. The observers also collected evidence and interviewed the victims of the aggression.

According to local people scores of persons have been killed and dozens of houses destroyed in the firing from the other side of the boundary.
