According to police sources, the law enforcement agencies arrived at Rustam Chowk after receiving information of dacoits robbing citizens.
The robbers opened fire at the cops and were injured in the retaliatory fire. They succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital.
The robbers have not been identified as yet.
Their bodies were transferred to Mayo Hospital morgue.
