Indian troops carried out unprovoked fire and mortar shelling at the working boundary due to which a woman was killed and two others were injured.
Another person was killed in Hajraan Garhi village by the Indian fire.
Several animals were also slain and houses were destroyed by the mortar shelling from across the border.
Chenab Rangers silenced the Indian weapons by the retaliatory fire. Fear and tension gripped the area after the firing incident.
It should be noted that India has violated the Line of Control (LOC) ceasefire for the third consecutive day by carrying out unprovoked fire.
