The death convicts were identified as Rashid Tipu, Ikhlas aka Roosi, Zubair Ahmed (belonging to Lodhra) and Ghulam Sarwar (belonging to Rawalpindi). They were convicted in the GHQ attack case and launching attack on former president Pervez Musharraf.
The administration has already got the final meeting of the four convicted terrorists with their families arranged.
The executed criminals were sentenced to death by a military court after they were found guilty of the crime.
The control of the jail had earlier been given to the army for security reasons. Threat of attack on sensitive jails across the city is already looming.
