RAWALPINDI: In a cross border attack on a Frontier Constabulary checkpost two FC personnel and six terrorists were killed, the ISPR said in a statement.
The militants from across the Pakistan-Afghan border attempted to attack a checkpost in Khyber Agency early Friday, in an exchange of fire two FC personnel were martyred and six terrorists were killed in Pakistani forces retaliatory fire, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing said.
Earlier, security forces had foiled a terrorist attack at a FC Centre in Shabqadar area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which two suicide bombers were killed.
In exchange of fire with the attackers a security personnel was killed and two others were injured in the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) said.
The injured were transferred to hospital for medical attendance.
Earlier this month, five soldiers of the Pakistan Army had lost their lives in a cross-border “terrorist attack” on three Pakistani border posts along the Pak-Afghan border area. The Pakistan Army reportedly killed over 15 suspected terrorists in their retaliatory action at the time.
