Tokyo stocks down 0.78% by break

The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange eased 135.36 points to 17,165.50 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares declined 0.63 percent, or 8.84 points, to 1,388.80.-AFP
