Pakistan:
Pakistan tops the list as being the most unpredictable team which actually does not mean that we are bad it means we are a good game changer. Nobody even gave it a thought in 1992 that a team full of young lads will win the biggest tournament of cricket. Pakistan that referred as the “cornered tiger” at the world cup overcame a dismal start as they lost 3 of the five initial matches including the match they lost to their arch rivals India by 43 runs. Losing to the arch rivals always demoralize the courage of the players. The team that was apparently out of the tournament gained a draw point due to rain on a match they were already losing against England. After gaining point from a match that could had been their worst defeat Pakistani team got all geared up and then they defeated Australia, Sri Lanka and unbeaten New Zealand to just scrape through the semi finals. In finals these “cornered tigers” snatched the victory from the then favorite world cup team England. Pakistan was nowhere in the mainstream in 1992 and the men in greens lifted the world cup 1992 which proves their unpredictability. Pakistan was nowhere to win the first Austral-Asia Cup in Sharjah 1986 against India when Pakistan needed four runs from last ball and Javed Miandad ended Chetan Sharma’s career by hitting him six on that last ball. Pakistan is the team that chased crucial 152 runs of 157 in 19.4 overs, against India in the first T20 world cup and then lost that match when victory was assured. So in that regard Pakistan is the most unpredictable and incredible team as well in cricket which can still emerge as a game changer.
West Indies:
The team that used to know as “Sand Storm” and has won the world cup a couple of times in 1975 and 1979, is nowhere among the favorites. Still they are capable of doing wonders. Nobody even expected their victory in twenty-20 world cup 2012 when they thrashed Australia in Semifinals and England in the finals to lift the trophy. They are full of surprises they demolished India and Pakistan in 1992 but their effort ended up in vain. They are that one team that lost three wickets in last over against South Africa when they were just a couple of runs short away from the victory. So yes they are equally capable of doing fireworks.
South Africa:
Dauntless uncertainties and bad luck have always stayed with South Africa that entered cricket arena in world cup 1992. The team emerged as a darling of 1992 world cup on the basis of some vibrant performances of Allan Donald and Jonty Rhodes. South Africa made it to the Semifinals in their very first world cup after winning over Australia, Pakistan, India, Zimbabwe and West Indies but in the semifinals the rain changed their fate and they lost the match against England in which they had to chase 21 runs off one ball. this team that has always been called the best team has not won any world cup till date. They have always been the most stable and balanced team with some quality players but they are also a team that can change the game anytime against their own-selves .
