Sources told ARY News that the incident happened after the security forces conducted a military offensive near militant hideouts in Tootano Bandi area of Kabal in Swat.
The suspected militants retaliated and managed to exchange fire with the security forces before losing their lives. The militants were also wanted in a police mobile attack case, ARY News reported.

The security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation has been initiated.
Meanwhile, in Malakand division too, the security forces claimed to have arrested two facilitators of militants while recovering two suicide jackets and a hand grenade from a house in Shabqadar.
