KARACHI: Three schoolgirls have gone missing in Saudabad area of Karachi on Friday, ARY News reported.
The missing girls are of 14 to 15 years of age. The area residents contacted police after the incident, however the police refused to cooperate and register case. After which they surrounded the police station. Later, the case was registered on direction of IG police.
Inspector General Sindh Police AD Khawaja took notice of the incident and directed forthright inquiry into the incident.
The order from IG police came after parents of the students of ninth grade, who did not return home from school, along other relatives and residents of the area have themselves started search and surrounded the police station demanding recovery of the girls.
Administration of TCF School Malir said the girls did not even reach the school neither their attendance was marked. While, the parents are adamant that the girls were seen arriving at the school.
While talking to ARY News, a relative of the girls said police had later started cooperation with them after wasting a plenty of time.
The relatives said mothers of the girls always drop them at school gate and they did the same today as well. While, the administration’s denying marking attendance at the school is making the matter suspicious.
Spokesperson IGP Sindh said AD Khawaja has directed DIG East to ensure a comprehensive inquiry regarding the missing girls in the light of information provided by their parents.
