PESHAWAR: At least three people were injured in an explosion near Peshawar’s Ring Road on Friday morning, ARY News reported.
Police said explosive device fitted to a motorcycle went off as the vehicle carrying an assistant director of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) came closer to it.
The PDMA official is among the three persons who sustained injuries. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical attention, a police official said.
After being informed of the blast, a strong contingent of police personnel as well as rescue teams immediately arrived at the site.
The security forces cordoned off the site of the explosion and launched a search operation in the surrounding areas.
