These countries are going to celebrate Eidul Fitr on Friday including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom (UK) after the sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal month.

The special committee of different countries announced the sighting of the crescent moon that signals the conclusion of the holy month of Ramazan.

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia announced the sighting of the Shawwal moon and the first day of Eidur Fitr will be celebrated on Friday, April 21.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar have also announced the moon sightings and the first day of Eid will be celebrated on Friday.

Several countries follow Saudi Arabia’s moon sighting announcement which includes:

  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Italy
  • Sudan
  • Syria
  • Turkmenistan
  • Kuwait
  • Uzbekistan and others

Turkiye, Afghanistan

Turkiye and Afghanistan announced Friday, April 21 as the first day of Eid Al Fitr 2023, marking the end of Ramadan.

Turkish news agency Anadolu Agency confirmed the news today, stressing that Friday will be the first day of Eidul Fitr celebrations when end-of-Ramadan prayers will be performed in all mosques across the country.

The countries follow Turkiye’s announcement include:

  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Tunisia and others

UK and Europe

The United Kingdom (UK) and Europe countries will also celebrate Eidul Fitr on Friday.
