152 terrorists killed in encounter with Sindh Rangers this year: report

According to the report, Rangers had 69 encounters from January 1, 2015 to date, in which 152 terrorists were killed. While 12 Rangers personnel also embraced Shahadat and 20 soldiers sustained injuries.

The paramilitary force conducted 2,410 operations and arrested 4074 suspects.

The report said 2,198 suspects including 887 terrorists, 268 target killers, 97 extortionists and 49 kidnappers were formally booked and handed over to police for prosecution.

In operations across the year, Rangers recovered 2765 weapons of different caliber including machine guns, LMGs, sniper rifles, G-3 rifles, shotguns, pistols, RPG-7, rocket launchers with ammo, avan bombs, IEDs, detonators, hand grenades and bullet proof jackets.

Similarly, 1,92,944 rounds of ammunition were also recovered.

As many as 18 abductees were also released in the wake of counter-terrorism operations by the Rangers.
