Zartaj Gul Wasir was born on November 1984 in FATA. She was born in prestigious Wazir Ahmad Zai tribe of FATA. Her father Gul Sheer Khan is an educated person who completed engineering education from Peshawar University and served as Govt.

Officer in WAPDA. He retired as Chief Engineer from WAPDA. He was the first Govt. Officer from his tribe and an educated person who know the value of education. He encouraged and helped her daughters to get high education against the traditions of his tribe and opposition from other conservative members of his tribe.

Zartaj Gul Wazir has three other sisters and two brothers. All are highly educated in different fields. One of her brother was died in Lahore Bomb Blast.
