WHO

World Health Organization (WHO) established on 7th April 1948 which is now celebrated as the world Health day every year. A world health theme is chosen every year to focus attention on a specific aspect of public health of that year.

The objective of WHO is Attainment of highest levels of health by all people. It is a part of but not sub-ordinate to united nation (UN). It has its own constitution own governing body and budget. Switzerland is the part of World Health Organization (WHO) but not the UN. It helps in prevention and control in specific diseases like small pox and now polio it also helps in the development of health services.

Improvement of family and environment health, maintenance of health statistics like the international classification of dieses (ICD) which is upgraded every year. Promotion of Bio Medical research maintenance of health literature and information and cooperation with other global health organization
