ISLAMABAD: Riot police sealed off Pakistan's capital with barbed wire and shipping containers on the eve of Independence Day, in a bid to foil mass protests aimed at toppling embattled Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s 68th Independence Day is being celebrated on Thursday (today) with patriotic zeal and national enthusiasm across the country which was liberated from the clutches of British colonial rule and Hindu dominance on 14th August 1947, ARY News reported.
