NRO

National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) is a presidential ordinance which is implemented to forgive politicians from their previous allegations and provide them a chance to start from starch. NRO is founded to mainstream the national interest of the country and to eliminate the political assassination of the parties and make clear and fair process of general elections.

With the help of NRO Federal or Provincial government can withdraw the cases against opposition at any point. National Reconciliation Ordinance was implemented by the Former President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf on 5th October 2007 and announced to eliminate each allegation on the politicians, Bureaucrat and few other business personalities of Pakistan.

The major goal of implementing NRO was to allow the political parties to come back to Pakistan who were facing exile. It was later declared against the law by the Supreme court of Pakistan on 16th December 2009, due to which political crisis were seen within the country.
