NICVD

National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD) upgraded from the ward 10, cardiovascular clinic of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) in 1956, It was very difficult for the hospital management to host and treat patient due to less space and equipment with in the region.

Founded by Dr Ali Muhammad Qasim in 1963, NICVD was established in the heart of metropolitan city of Pakistan which is capable enough to provide world class treatment to the cardio patients around the country. After becoming fully functional it was remained a non-government property later in 1979 it was added under the Federal Ministry of Health.

Governing body of the organization come under the provincial government headed by the chief minister of the province and the board of the governors. The complex is fully equipped with modern facilities and had hosted many foreigners patients since its establishment.
