Haripur

Haripur one of the beautiful cities of Pakistan located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The city was founded by Hari Singh Nalwa in 1821 who was the general of ruler Ranjit Singh. In 1992 Haripur was declared as a district and got separated from Abbottabad.

Before the independence of Pakistan Haripur was also the part of state AMB. The city is located 65 km far from the capital and 35km from Abbottabad. Being located at the center of the province the city is connected to eight other districts of the province.

The city is divided into four constituency of national assembly and has only one constituency for provincial assembly. As per industrial growth and production it is the largest division of the province. The city also holds a big share in agriculture production and provide vegetables and other crops to Islamabad and Punjab Province.
