Study suggests link between mobile phone usage and cancer

According to The Independent, rats were exposed to the commonly emitted cellphone frequencies by the researchers from National Toxicology Program. Two kinds of tumors were found in the hearts and brains of the rats following the exposure.

No tumors were found in the rats which were not exposed to the frequencies.

Over 2,500 rats were tested on and the government spent more the $25 million on the scientific study. It is considered one of the most in-depth analysis of the study between cancers and mobile phones.

It should be noted that earlier surveys have suggested connection between the disease and the use of the communication device but have been criticised due to methodology and sample size, which may be subjected to bias.
