Pakistan’s bowling unit has been too tough for Sri Lanka to handle which has been duly conceded by Sri Lankan skipper.
Thisara Perera said that it was the best bowling unit he had seen in last one and a half years.
While Pakistan wicket-keeper captain gave all the credit of victory to the young guns for their hard work.
For Mohammad Amir this is his first match before the home crowd. “I am on the moon, playing before my people for the first time and I hope and pray that this continues and we also have ODIs and Test matches in near future.”
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi predicted his board will be able to host full fledged series in the next two years. It may seemed a hope against hope, but with improved security the day may not be too far.

With this match, cricket in Pakistan has been injected with a new life and Pakistani nation is thankful to the guests for this despite the fact that it was Sri Lanka team which came under attack some eight years ago in Lahore.

Pakistan made two changes from the team that won the second T20 in Abu Dhabi. Ahmed Shehzad was replaced with Umer Amin, while Usman Shinwari has been dropped due to injury and he has been replaced by Mohammad Amir.
Pakistan has lost only one of the six T20Is played at this venue.

Pakistan were really looking for a great triumph tonight to inflict another clean sweep on Sri Lanka after blanking them lately in five one-day international (ODI) series.
Sri Lanka´s cricket team arrived in Lahore under heavy security on Sunday eight years after they were attacked by gunmen there.
The team and their officials were taken to a five-star hotel in a bomb-proof bus with hundreds of security guards on the roads and at the resort.
International cricket was suspended in Pakistan after the 2009 gun attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore, which left eight people dead and seven visiting players and their staff members injured.
