Pics taken by Australian journalist of devastation caused by quake to Kathmandu landmarks go viral

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation news presenter’s Twitter bio says that she is currently on a fellowship to the country, and she posted these photographs on her Twitter account @siobhanheanue around two hours ago.

Her post says that she had taken photographs of various buildings in the capital’s Royal Square, a major tourist attraction, within a span of one hour, before and after the quake.

She has since then posted videos as well of the city, including one which shows residents sitting or standing in the open, away from any structure, in fear of more damage caused by aftershocks.
