KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party leader Murtaza Wahab on Friday said the Sindh government had acquired the highest available snorkel in the world and 10 fire tenders.
Appreciating the Sindh government’s efforts in this regard, he wrote on his Twitter account, “Another promise fulfilled. Highest available snorkel in the world measuring 104 meters has been acquired by Sindh Govt and will be handed over to the fire department of Karachi.”
He said 10 more fire tenders would be handed over to the city administrations: three fire tenders for Karachi, one each for Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpur Khas and Jacobabad.

This should be noted that a fire that erupted in the forests of the Margalla Hills on May 29 couldn’t be brought under control after three days of efforts by firefighters.
Capital Development Authority, Environment and Emergency Wing had approached the National Disaster Management Authority to seek help of Pakistan army to extinguish the wildfire.
Sources told ARY News that the NDMA had already sought assistance of the military to help extinguish the fire as fire tenders couldn’t reach certain spots.
