Shutterdown in Quetta after Hazara killings

Six people including a father and son were killed in firing incident near Quetta’s Bacha Khan Chowk on Sunday.

Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) and other political and religious groups have given a call of strike to protest over the killing incident.

Most of the markets and shopping centres of the city have been closed with scant vehicular traffic at roads.

Security high alert has been declared in the city. Police and Rangers contingents have been deployed and patrolling at main thoroughfares of the southwestern city of Pakistan.

Local authorities have banned pillion riding under section 144.
