Bollywood A-listers Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor announced the sequel of their superhit horror comedy ‘Stree’.
The highly-anticipated sequel of the horror-comedy flicks, ‘Stree’ as well as ‘Bhediya’ have been announced by the makers. ‘Stree 2’ starring Kapoor and Rao, along with Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee is set for August 2024 release.

Taking to his Instagram handle, the ‘Bheed’ actor posted the video of the announcement skit to break the news. “ओ स्त्री, अगले साल आना। (Hey woman, come next year). Oh Stree, 2 phir aa gayi,” he wrote in the caption.
“Here to rip your hearts out, Maddock Films & Jio Studios reintroduce you to the witch you fell in love with. Milegi Milegi, sabko milegi #Stree2 in August 2024.”
About the team, Amar Kaushik is back in the director’s chair to helm the direction of the second part in the ‘Stree’
franchise, while, Niren Bhatt [of ‘Bhediya’] is writing the story.Maddock Films of Dinesh Vijan bankrolls the project.
Shraddha Kapoor recalls being ‘disappointed’ in herself
Speaking of the horror-comedy universe by Vijan, it started in 2018 with the first instalment of ‘Stree’. The film opened to positive reviews and was a massive success at the ticket windows. It further continued with the spin-off films ‘Roohi’ and ‘Bhediya’.
Now the makers have announced the sequels of ‘Stree’ and ‘Bhediya’. The stories are said to be interlinked to carry the universe ahead.
