Sheikhupura: Five terror suspects killed in CTD raid

The terrorists were planning an attack in the province during Muharram.

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel killed five hardened terrorists including most wanted Kala Qari in a raid in Sheikhupura.

According to law enforcement officials, CTD Police on the indication of an arrested terror suspect Kashif alias Kashi conducted raid at a house near Khanpur canal in Sheikhupura this morning. The criminals hiding at the place opened indiscriminate fire at the security men. Terror suspect Kashif was killed in the firing of his accomplices.

The CTD personnel in counter fire killed four terrorists including the most wanted criminal Kala Qari. Four others escaped from the scene.

A sizable number of Klashnikovs, hand grenades and other explosives captured from the hideout of the terrorists.

According to sources, the terrorists were involved in attacks on Major General Mushtaq Shaheed, former minorities minister Shahbaz Bhatti and former minister of religious affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi.
