Actor Shakeel awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz!

The veteran actor was awarded the star in recognition of his services to Pakistan in the field of Arts. Shakeel has been around since the long time and has achieved recognition for his acting prowess. Known for his immensely popular Uncle Urfi and playing Mehboob from Aangan Terha. His popular play Parchaiyan was also adorned by the public and was the first ever drama serial to be shown in color.

At first declared a heartthrob by the Pakistani media, he was also the first Pakistani to be featured on the cover of Herald magazine. For his stellar performances in the Pakistani drama department, he has won numerous awards in the past. Trophies he has conquered include the Pride of Performance in 1992, KaraFilm Festival award and Lifetime Achievement award as well.
