LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has filed a lawsuit against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan for labeling bribe allegations on him and a legal notice has been sent to PTI chairman, media reports said.
Spokesperson of Punjab government Muhammad Khan has confirmed that a legal notice has been sent to Imran Khan for hurling false allegations at the chief minister.
It should be recalled here that Khan had claimed to be offered Rs 10 billion for staying silent on Panamagate case by one of the close aides of the chief minister Punjab.
He had reiterated that Rs 10 billion was just the starting amount of the offer while claiming that the middleman was also offered Rs two billion on successful negotiations.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders demanded Khan to disclose the name of the person who carried offer to him on which the PTI chairman had earlier stated that over disclosure of the name, the person could face the wrath of the rulers, as what he had said, the ruling party was not a democratic party but a group of fascists scapegoating others to safeguard their personal interests.
Earlier, the ruling party has announced to take legal course of action against Imran Khan for leveling Rs 10 billion bribe allegations on the party leadership allegedly for staying away from the Panamagate issue.
