Bollywood’s ‘King’ Khan had a bash at the Asian Awards in London. Not only did the Happy New Year star scooped up an award for Outstanding Contribution to Cinema, he got the chance to party with none other than former One Direction star Zayn Malik.
Shah Rukh posted a tweet from his official Twitter account which showcased the two celebrities smiling for the camera and let it be known that it was dinner time in London!
Shah Rukh in his previous tweet had offered felicitations to other artists who had delighted him.
Yesterday’s event was a prestigious award ceremony which featured international artists, musicians and politicians from around the world. After receiving the award, Shah Rukh had stated:-
“I am extremely humbled and honoured to receive this award. I say this very often that my stardom belongs to most South East Asians who reside abroad who have made the Indian cinema and me known around the world.”
Shah Rukh was presented with the award by Indian-origin British filmmaker Gurinder Chadha. Previous Indians who have secured awards in the cinema category are Anupam Kher, Irrfan Khan and Yash Chopra.
Nice to see how Shah Rukh and Zayn got along really well. Zayn seems to have taken the recent media gossips surrounding him in stride and instead chosen to focus more on enjoying life at the moment.
