As the Senate elections are nearing, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have come face to face with each other.
PPP leader, Khursheed Shah said that the PMLN has placed governor, chief election commissioner and several caretaker ministers of its choice in GB.
He said that these measures indicate that PMLN-led government is planning to rig the polls there.
Shah said that talks were held with the government regarding changing the procedure of Senate polls, however as the elections are already scheduled so now there remains no room for the amendment.
“Senate elections cannot be held through the ‘show of hand’ for it requires constitutional amendment and for that all the relative things need to be referred to the concerned parliamentary committee”, he said.
