The boiler explosion occurred at a sugar mill in Shorkot, killing seven labourers and injuring 13 others.
Around half of the injured persons are said to be in a critical condition. They were also moved to Tehsil headquarters hospital.
Hospital sources said condition of some injured labourers was very serious.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and sought report from police and local administration.
