I have no sense of scripting and screenplay, says Shahrukh Khan

MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan on Monday said that he has no sense of scripting and screenplay and he actually didn’t even hear the script of his 2003 hit “Kal Ho Na Ho”.

Speaking to media at the press conference for Ittefaq, Shahrukh, who is co-producing the film revealed that Karan Johar  (director) narrated “some other film” to him called “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and it ended up being “some other film”.

“He (Karan Johar) knows I have no sense of scripting and screenplay and that could be an amazing headline that Shahrukh has no sense of scripting and screenplay that is why he makes such awful films,” Shahrukh said.

Ittefaq is Shahrukh  and Karan Johar’s 10th collaboration together as the duo had delivered hits like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Student Of The Year and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

“I wanted to be a part of Ittefaq as an actor, but I couldn’t manage time. I was shooting for Raees

and Fan at that point of time, so physically it was exhausting. But I am very happy about the way [Ittefaq director Abhay Chopra] adapted the script and changed it a bit to make it relevant in today’s time. He has done a great job, I hope Inshallah people will love the film, once it released.” said Shahrukh about the upcoming movie.

Ittefaq is the remake of the original film of the same name made in 1969, produced by BR Chopra, directed by Yash Chopra and featuring Rajesh Khanna. The thriller will be released on November 3 in India.
