SC dismisses journalist harassment case after FIA report

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday dismissed the journalists’ harassment case after the submission of the federal investigation authority (FIA) report, ARY News reported.

As per details, a three-member bench headed by Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan heard the case.

The attorney general told the court that the Supreme court ordered the FIA to follow the case according to the law. The FIA followed the court order and complete the investigation.

He informed the court that currently there is no pending case against any journalist in the FIA as they have disposed of all the inquiries.

At this, the supreme court dismissed the case in the light of the FIA report.

Earlier, the Supreme Court constituted a three-member bench to hear the journalists’ harassment case.

The bench formed by Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Atta Bandial comprises Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed.
