Saudi company to set up solar energy project

Karachi: Saudi-based technology solutions provider, Advanced Electronics Company (AEC) is looking forward to establish solar energy farms in various areas of Sindh so as to improvise the energy crisis in Pakistan.

According to a handout from the Chief Minister House, the announcement was made after a meeting between AEC President Dr Ghassan Al Shibl and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

It was decided that the AEC would finance the energy projects that would set up the solar energy farms, ranging from 300 to 500 megawatts (MW).

The AEC also announced that it would provide 200,000 water meters to Karachi, while also allotting several UPS systems to other parts of the province.

It is not just to overcome the energy crisis but to fortify the cordial relations with Saudi Arabia.
