Saad demands to enforce law of Sadiq, Ameen on everyone

LAHORE: Federal Railways Minister Saad Rafique on Sunday demanded to enforce the law of Sadiq and Ameen on everyone, ARY News reported.

“We had no idea that the Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution will turn out to be 58 (2B) for us,” he said while addressing a news conference in Lahore. He questioned that why the Articles 62 and 63 were imposed on politicians only?

The Articles 62 and 63 deal with eligibility and disqualification of parliamentarians. They are applicable on public office holders and its clause (e) reads: “Has adequate knowledge of Islamic teachings and practices obligatory duties prescribed by Islam as well as abstains from major sins”.

Saad also said he had no grievances against the institutions but individuals were involved in all this saga.

Raising a range of objections on the process of the Panama Leaks case against Nawaz Sharif, he questioned that what law applied on the self-sufficient children working abroad.

He objected on using the words of Godfather and mafia by the judges against them and said they only raised question in the media and remained mum over the disdainful manners they were treated.

The Railways minister said they were also not convinced in the controversy of WhatsApp call and picture leak. He said  that the court didn’t take any action over the issue of photo leak.

The PML-N senior leader said that his party has demonstrated patience and calmness over every issue as their party head had decided to trust on the judiciary system with closed eyes.

He said that the PML-N and Sharif family extended full cooperation to JIT during investigation process.

Saad Rafique said the massive document which surfaced as a final report of the JIT could perhaps not be prepared by 600 men in the given time.

“Why was the prime minister disqualified is the question every Pakistani is wondering about. Is this behavior with the chief executive officer of the country suitable?,” he questioned.

‘Nawaz to rectify political matters, Shahbaz to run govt’

Saad said now that President Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif has been ousted from the Prime Minister’s Office, now he will focus on rectifying the political matters while Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will run the government.

He said after one Sharif they had put forward another Sharif and it was sheer on the basis of merit.
