We’ll never quite hear the end of Michael Jackson’s childish antics, will we?
Aussie actor Russell Crowe, in an interview with the Guardian, recently disclosed an unknown revelation which concerned Michael Jackson. Apparently, the iconic pop musician used to keep a tab on the hotels Crowe used to stay in and prank called him! What’s even more strange, the Smooth Criminal singer kept up the crank calls for about an extensive period of two-three years! This is how Russell narrated the funny incident:-
“For two or three years,” he said. “I never met him, never shook his hand, but he found out the name I stayed in hotels under, so it didn’t matter where I was, he’d ring up do this kind of thing, like you did when you were 10, you know. ‘Is Mr Wall there? Is Mrs Wall there? Are there any Walls there? Then what’s holding the roof up? Ha ha.’ You’re supposed to grow out of doing that, right?”
However, the most surprising fact of all is that both superstars hadn’t even met at the time Jackson pulled these pranks! Though this specific prank is a new revelation about Jackson’s pranks on Crowe, the Gladiator
actor had previously in 2013 also disclosed another prank the Thriller singer had played on him. Here’s what he had stated in 2013:-“He’d ring me and in a strong voice and say, ‘There is an emergency and you need to leave the building.’ I’d ask, ‘Who is this?’ And he’d say, ‘Do not worry Russell, just kidding, this is Michael.’”
Michael Jackson was one of the most influential and iconic pop musicians of his time. He became the first black musician whose music video for the song Billie Jean was featured on MTV. With hits like Thriller, Smooth Criminal, They Don’t Really Care About Us, Man In The Mirror, Beat It and We Are The World, Jackson elevated to a status that is unrivaled, unmatched to this day in the history of music.
He died on June 25th 2009 due to cardiac arrest.
