Ronaldo-less Portugal take Euro 2016 glory

The Euro 2016 final between Portugal and France on Sunday had gone into extra time with the teams level at 0-0 after 90 minutes. Then, three minutes time was added followed by two extra times of 15 minutes which finally decided fate of the nail-biting match.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo was taken off injured after 24 minutes of the European Championship final.

Ronaldo, who tried to play on with a bandaged knee after a tackle by Dimitri Payet in the early stages of the game, was replaced by Ricardo Quaresma.

The final match was on the verge of entering penalty shootout when Eder Swansea came in with the ball finding nobody around to give pass he took full responsibility to hit the ball from near D-area and made it.
