According to Police, unknown persons opened fire at Defence Phase-I due to which Major (Retd.) Ahsan Raza was killed.
It is being said that Raza was killed while resisting a robbery attempt however the case is also being investigated from sectarian angle as well.
In another incident, a tortured body of a kidnapped person was recovered from Shah Faisal Colony. The corpse was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for identification.
