Registrar SC demands additional security for ex-CJ

ISLAMABAD: Registrar, Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has demanded additional security and a bullet-proof vehicle for the former Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry – ARY News reports.

 

According to the spokesperson of the Interior Ministry, the SC Registrar had written a letter to the Interior Ministry some 10 days ago, stating that the ex-CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry’s life is in danger, so he must be provided additional security.

 

Moreover, a bullet-proof vehicle was also demanded for the former CJ.

 

The Ministry of Interior has forwarded the letter to the Cabinet Division, the spokesperson added.
