KARACHI: Sindh Rangers have arrested at least four members of a banned outfit and two target killers during recent search and bombing operations across the city, a spokesperson said on Wednesday.
According to accounts shared with ARY News by officials, Rangers conducted operations in different areas of the metropolis and apprehended the six suspects.
Rangers’ spokesperson while giving details about the operations revealed that the two held target killers belong to Muhajir Qaumi Movement (MQM)-Haqiqi, a breakaway faction of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Four members of a banned outfit were also taken into custody during operations in Landhi, Bin Qasim and Korangi Town areas of the port city, the Rangers’ spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, during a snap-checking spree in North Nazimabad, Rangers claimed to have nabbed another suspect along with a weapon who was later shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
A grand operation – jointly being conducted by the Sindh police and rangers –against miscreants and terror elements has been underway in Karachi for months in a bid to restore peace in the once-troubled city.
Since the start of the operation, the overall security situation has greatly improved in the city.
