According to details, the couple used to extort money from traders, of which the Rangers’ special task force received complaint from a local merchant.
The complainant was handed a “bhatta parchi” – a chit demanding protection money from the receiver – a few days ago.

A woman today arrived to receive money from the trader, who was apprehended by Rangers personnel.
The woman told that her husband was also a partner in the crime, who was too nabbed by the paramilitary men upon identification by his wife.
