Katrina Kaif comes clean over Ranbir Kapoor breakup

The effervescent Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif known to be one of the most successful actress of Indian Film Industry has always been private about her love life be it her family, friends or past relationships until now.

Katrina and Ranbir who have worked on films including Rajneeti, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani, and Jagga Jasoos had dated and called it quits, confessed Kaif.

The actress who was previously linked to one of the biggest stars of Bollywood, Salman Khan came clean on her rumored relation with co-star Ranbir Kapoor which she revealed has now ended,

Katrina said that the breakup had left a scar on her life which led to a path of self-discovery.

The couple called it quits in 2016 after a whirlwind of rumors surrounding the two but nothing was confirmed by both parties.

Kaif revealed that her and Kapoor have worked in a cordial and professional manner on projects even post their breakup.

During an interview with Mid-Day, the Bollywood diva revealed that she opened up about her relationship and breakup with Ranbir Kapoor due to the media’s interest.

“If I had

my way, I would have never spoken about my relationship. I chose to talk about it because the media was interested in it. I couldn’t have dodged the bullet every time. I would have sounded rude if I did that. So, the best thing was to share the bare minimum I wanted to and be frank enough to accept the reality. We [she and Ranbir] still have respect for each other, and that will not change,” she stated.

She insisted that despite the breakup being a difficult period in her life, she came out stronger.

“When I was going through a separation, one of my sisters was also in the same phase. That’s when I realized that since my life was out in the open, the ego was more bruised, but at the end of the day, we both felt the same pain. I found solace in reading.”

“My friends were also a strong source of support. I don’t have any regrets [about the relationship]. I have come out of the experience a lot more mature.” She added.

According to Katrina her the breakup gave her the time for self-love and self-evaluation.
