Ramazan Recipe: Light Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup instant nonfat dry milk
- 4 eggs (separated)
- 1 cup cottage cheese (sieved) 1½ tsp
- Salt 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (maida) (sifted)
- 2 tbsp butter (makhan) or margarine
- 1½ cup honey
- 1¼ cup orange juice concentrated (frozen)
Directions
- Place water in a bowl, add nonfat dry milk and beat until mixture stands in soft peaks
- Add remaining ingredients except egg whites
- Beat egg whites until soft peaks form and fold into first mixture
- Pour butter, 2 Tbsp at a time, onto hot and greased griddle. Bake until it is golden brown. Flip and bake on other side
- For Sauce: Melt butter in small saucepan. Add honey and orange juice concentration. Heat until it gets warm.
