UMERKOT: Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the party objects to the 24th Amendment as it would absolve those named in the Panama Papers,
Qureshi, while speaking to media at Samejo House, said that he is personally in favour of going to parliament to vote against the constitutional amendment, but the party had taken a mutual decision to boycott it.
He further said that India was martyring our soldiers by unprovoked firing across the Line of Control, but we had no foreign minister to pursue the case in international forums.
He said that the Defence minister should rather be focused on the situation at the LoC, but was more interested in the Panama Papers and defence of the Prime Minister.
To a question, he said that the Governor of Sindh and Karachi were both were in an emergency ward. He said that he would support Bilawal Bhutto if he launches a movement against the government.
Qureshi also paid tribute to outgoing Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and for his efforts against terrorism in the country.
Qureshi has arrived on a four-day tour of Sindh and to pass the vision and message of PTI Chairman Imran Khan to the people of the people.
Before arrival, the PTI leader went on to say that he will tell the story of Panama Leaks and corruption to every child of Sindh.
“I will highlight the priorities of the rulers to the poor, oppressed and hard working people of Pakistan,” Qureshi said.
He further said that he will tell the people how the prevailing system, which is in the hands of the elite class, has failed to protect the rights of the downtrodden.
