Quetta blast FIR filed at Airport Police Station

According to police, the SHO of Airport Police Station was complainant in the case. The First Information Report (FIR) of the case has been filed under charges of murder, attempt to murder, terrorism and the explosives act.

Four people were killed and 28 others were injured yesterday when an explosion occurred outside a shop near Alamo Chowk located at the airport road in Quetta.

Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) officials said that the bomb was planted on a cycle. Some five to six kilograms of explosive material was used in the explosion, they added.

Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province by land mass and smallest in population, has been a hotbed of an insurgency demanding the right of local population over the natural resources of the resources-rich south-western province.

Quetta, the seat of government of Balochistan, regularly face terrorist attacks and acts of sabotage, which cause losses of life and property to civilians and the personnel of the law enforcement agencies.
