He was speaking to media after a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad today.
The provincial chief executive said Rangers operation was deviated from its [original] path and hence we conveyed our concerns to the federal government.
Mr. Shah said he had urged the PM to review case of Dr. Asim Hussain as “there is no evidence against him in the charge-sheet.”
He said corruption is the provincial subject and be dealt by the provincial authorities. He stressed that anti-corruption department in Sindh is working very effectively.
To a question regarding PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, he said Mr. Zardari had no obstacle in his way to return to Pakistan. He is facing some health issues and that’s the reason he is staying in London for medical treatment, said Mr. Shah.
He mentioned that there were no charges against Zardari in Pakistan.
He told the journalists that PM had directed Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan to come to Sindh. “If issues are not settled with Chaudhary sahib, the matter will re-surface after 60 days and the federal government will have to accept our point.” He made this statement in an indirect reference to expiry of Rangers special powers in first week of February.
All the expenses on Rangers in Sindh are being borne by the provincial government, he told.
He was of the view that the prime minister “properly” listened to our points and said there were no differences with the premier.
