Qadri gives another 24 hours to govt

While addressing the participants of PAT sit-in, Dr Tahirul Qadri said, “I am aware of your emotions and did not want to extend the deadline”. He added that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) delegates appealed for extending the deadline and not to take any decision in haste.

Dr Qadri told the participants that he has decided to give another 24 hours to the government, keeping in view the good faith of the PTI leadership.

The PAT chief however laid three demands for the government:

1- Registration of the FIR of Model Town carnage as per PAT’s application

2- Stepping down of the Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif

3- Resignation by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif

He said that negotiations with the government will only be held on rest of the points, if it accepts these demands within next 24 hours.

Dr Tahirul Qadri consoled his followers and asked them not to be disappointed, adding, “It is possible that our struggle could yield result by tomorrow or by the day after tomorrow”. He advised them to be patient and remain firm on their stance.
